Spontaneous serendipity describes my path of quilting in my two most recent series of quilts. The City series and the Serendipity series push the traditional boundaries of whole cloth quilt making. These unique quilts explore how thread, color and fiber affects the overall design of the quilt. This approach flows into my teaching as I encourage students to venture beyond their initial impressions and see where that may lead them in their quilting adventures.
